Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data we collect through arokiadas.com and when you write to us, what we do with it, and your rights under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
1. Who we are

2. What this covers
This website and the correspondence it leads to. It does not cover our products or the systems we build for clients: Baton has its own policy at batonstack.com/privacy, and a system we build for a client is governed by that client's policy and our contract with them.
3. What we collect
When you write to us — your name, email address, phone number if you give it, your organisation, and whatever you put in your message.
When you visit the site — the site is static. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking, and its fonts are served from this site, not from a third party. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) keeps standard server logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested, time — to serve the site and protect it from abuse.
4. Why we use it
To reply to you and carry on the conversation you started; to prepare a proposal if you ask for one; to keep the business records the law requires; and to keep the site secure. We do not sell personal data and do not use it for advertising.
5. Who else sees it
The providers that run our email (Google) and host the site (Cloudflare), under their standard terms; our chartered accountant and legal advisers where a matter requires it; and authorities where the law requires. These providers may store data outside India.
6. How long we keep it
Correspondence: for as long as the conversation or the business relationship is live, and up to three years after it ends, so we can answer a later question or meet a legal requirement. Server logs: for the hosting provider's standard period, which is short. Then it is deleted.
7. Your rights
You may ask what personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, withdraw consent for anything that rests on consent, nominate someone to act for you, and raise a grievance. Write to [email protected] with “Privacy” in the subject. We acknowledge within three working days and resolve requests within thirty days. If you are not satisfied, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
8. Children
This site is for businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children; if you believe we have, tell us and we will delete it.
9. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Correspondence is kept in accounts protected by two-step verification, and only the people who need it to reply to you can see it.
